Teenage Girl Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on 300th Avenue in Delaware County

Delaware County, Iowa (April 2, 2018) – A teenage girl was killed, and two others were injured Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Delaware County, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened at around 10:24 a.m. Saturday, March 29 on 300th Avenue.

According to police, 16-year-old Mackenzie McArthur of Asbury was driving a Ford Focus southbound on 300th Avenue while 31-year-old Kendra Klein of Dyersville was operating a sports utility vehicle northbound.

McArthur crossed the center line and collided with the sports utility vehicle head-on.

McArthur was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kendra and one-year-old Willow Klein were both injured and taken to Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

Authorities stated that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
