4 Killed in Sterling Crash on Interstate 76

Four People Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 76 in Sterling
Sterling, Colorado (April 8, 2018) – Four people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Sterling, according to Colorado State Patrol.
The incident happened at around 12:10 a.m. Saturday, April 7 on Interstate 76 at Mile er 130.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, a semi-truck driven by Abdihakim Mohamed, 46, of Georgia, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 76 when it jackknifed for an unknown reason.
A Chrysler Pacifica sports wagon which was also heading eastbound collided with the trailer of the semi and went underneath it.
All four people inside the Chrysler were killed.
Mohamed was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
