2 Killed, 5 Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision on State Highway 3W near Ada in Pontotoc County

Pontotoc County, Oklahoma (April 19, 2018) – Two Coalgate residents were killed and five other people were injured in three-Car Accident in Pontotoc County Tuesday afternoon, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper.

The crash happened at around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 on State Highway 3W about 4 miles northwest of downtown Ada.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper, Judy Miller, 71, of Ada was operating a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound on State Highway 3W when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2008 Kia Spectra driven by Donald Disney, 48, of Coalgate.

A third vehicle, a Kia Sedona, driven by Michaela Hearrell, 19, of Ada, then rear-ended the Pathfinder as it spun out of control.

Lynda Kaonohi, 69, of Coalgate and Tina Allen, 37, of Coalgate, who were the passengers in Kia Spectra, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Disney was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with serious injuries.

Miller was transported to Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City with serious injuries.

Hearrell was airlifted to Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

Joseph Anderso, 33, of Ada and an 8-month-old female, also of Ada, who were the passengers in the Kia Sedona, were transported to Chickasaw Nation Medical Center where they were treated and released for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
