Moper Rider Killed in Rear-End Crash on Highway 9 near 410 East Highway 9 in Longs
Longs, South Carolina (April 21, 2018) – A Little River man was killed in a moped crash in Longs Thursday night, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19 on Highway 9 near 410 East Highway 9.
According to the authorities, a moped and a truck were heading northbound on Highway 9 when the truck rear-ended the moped.
Tony Holmes, who was operating the moped, was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
