Colbert County Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision on U.S. 72 in Tuscumbia
Tuscumbia, Alabama (March 23, 2018) – A woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Tuscumbia, according to a Tuscumbia police report.
The accident took place at around 12:24 p.m. Thursday, March 22 on U.S. 72.
According to the Tuscumbia police report, the woman was crossing the highway from Dollar General when her vehicle crashed into a truck.
The woman was flown to Huntsville Hospital where she late succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
A passenger in her vehicle and the occupants of the Truck were transported to Hellen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.
No further information regarding their conditions is available at this time.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
