Greensboro Man Killed, 1 Injured in Two-Vehicle on Alabama Highway 61 near Uniontown in Hale County

Hale County, Alabama (April 19, 2018) – A Greensboro man was killed and one other person was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Hale County Monday afternoon, according to Alabama State Troopers said.

The collision happened on Alabama Highway 61 near the four miles marker, about two miles north of Uniontown on Monday, April 16.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, Jimmy Hare, 70, was driving a Toyota Camry when his car collided with a Chevrolet C33 operated by Patrick Brewer, 18.

Hare was declared dead at the site of the crash.

Brewer, also of Greensboro, was taken to UAB hospital in Birmingham with unknown injuries.

No further information is available at this time.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
