Woman Killed, Two People Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 280 in Mountain Brook

Mountain Brook, Alabama (March 30, 2018) – An 82-year-old woman was killed, and two other people were injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Mountain Brook, according to a police report.

The deadly accident took place on Highway 280 on Wednesday, March 28.

According to police, Jacqueline Mills was traveling westbound on the highway when she tried to turn left into the Mountain Brook Center. Her car was struck on its passenger side by a vehicle heading eastbound in the far right-hand lane.

Mills was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.

Both people in the eastbound car were transported to UAB hospital with serious injuries.

Police are conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the crash.
