Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle near 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona (April 1, 2018) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle late Saturday night in Phoenix, according to Phoenix Police Department.

The accident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, March 31 near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Police said Ronald Rock, 61, was attempting to cross the street from the north side to the south when he was hit by a vehicle driven eastbound by a 33-year-old woman.

Rock was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved was not injured and remained at the scene of the crash.

The Phoenix Police Department is handling the investigation.
