Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle near 36th Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona (March 31, 2018) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Phoenix, according to authorities.
The accident took place at around 10 p.m. Thursday, March 29, near 36th Street and McDowell Road.
Police said Robert Garcia, 45, was attempting to cross McDowell Road when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 41-year-old woman.
Garcia was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Police said speed and impairment were unlikely factors in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
