Bakersfield, CA: Deadly Pedestrian Crash Edison Highway Near MT. Vernon Ave
Bakersfield, California (December 11, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed Saturday night following a fatal pedestrian crash on Edison Highway in Bakersfield, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident took place at about 11:00 p.m. last night when a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle near Mt. Vernon Avenue.
According to the CHP log, a 35-year-old woman was rushed to Kern Medical Center after sustaining critical injuries in the accident.
Unfortunately, the woman, whose name was not immediately available, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The deadly pedestrian crash remains under investigation by the police to determine the cause and liability.
