1 Injured in South Los Angeles Bicycle Accident at Florence Avenue and Flower Street
Los Angeles, California (May 13, 2021) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in south Los Angeles on Monday evening.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the bicycle accident happened in the area of Florence Avenue and Flower Street at about 6:55 p.m. May 10.
A man was riding a bicycle across the crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound Kia Optima that was making a right turn from Florence onto Flower Street.
The bicyclist was seriously injured and was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
The motorist reportedly fled the scene and was yet to be located.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
