A deadly multi-crash on I-5 in the city of Commerce, Calif., early Saturday morning around 1:47 a.m., February, 27, 2016, kills two men and a young woman in her twenties. Apparently, two vehicles were street racing in the southbound lanes, right after midnight on Friday around 12:01 a.m., when one of the drivers lost control and crashed into the side of a UPS semi tractor-trailer, as stated by authorities, says CBS Los Angeles. The UPS tractor-trailer crashed into the center divider causing it to flip over and explode before smashing into oncoming vehicles in the northbound lanes.

Reporter Matt Stevens of the Los Angeles Times says that Calif. Highway Patrol officer, Sgt. Luis Mendoza said that when the UPS truck flipped over it tore the roof off a Nissan Sedan before landing on top of a Ford Explorer going northbound, and the Explorer to burst into flames.

The three victims, one which included the driver of the UPS tractor-trailer were dead at the scene of the accident, and four others were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Although drugs and alcohol were ruled out, one of the street racers involved, driving a Dodge Challenger, was arrested on the scene while the other racer, driving a Dodge Charger, fled the scene, said Fox 5 Digital Team.
