In Huntington Beach, CA, two teens were killed in flaming high-impact car wreck. The principal of Peninsula High School identified the teens as fresh graduates of the said school.

The car wreck happened at the intersection of Edwards Street and Warner Avenue at about 1:45 in the morning on Friday, according to Mike McClanahan, Chief Officer of Huntington Beach fire Department.

The officials said that the victims were identified as Hachim Ali Awad, 18 years old and from class 2015, and Ali Diba Nourollahi, 19 years old and from class 2014. They were both declared dead on the spot. According to the Daily Breeze reporters, they both lived at Rancho Palos Verdes.

The City News Service also reported that Principal Mitzi Cress said that the Peninsula High School community has been devastated by the sad news. She also said that grief counselors were present at the school as soon as the officials heard the fatal news and were expected to be present there until Monday.

On Saturday, Principal Cress issued a message in behalf of the whole Peninsula High School community stating their deepest condolences to Ali and Hachim’s family and friends.

Officer McClanahan said that when the firefighters arrived at the scene, the two bodies were outside the vehicle and lying out on the street. The vehicle had crashed into a building located at the corner of the street and the impact caused the fire. The fire also spread throughout the building. The firefighters were able to control the fire and temporarily evacuated the building for structural risks.

McClanahan believed that the two teens might have been pulled out from the car by onlookers or witnesses in the area. He also believed that the car speed may have contributed to the cause of the car crash. Another assumption is impairment due to alcohol influence.

The funeral arrangements for these young men were pending and for anyone who has information regarding this crash, please contact the Huntington Beach Police Department.
