Jeffery Webber, Lionel Robin Fatal Plane Crash near Colusa

Colusa, California (January 9, 2019) – The two people who were killed Monday afternoon in a small plane crash near Colusa have been identified as Jeffery Thomas Webber,66, of Healdsburg and Lionel J. Robin,71, of Arnaudville, Louisiana, according to a local news release.

The fatal crash was reported at about 12:15 p.m. January 7.

As per the release, Webber, who was the pilot, allegedly hit a flock of birds and crashed in a retention pond adjacent to flooded rice lands.

Authorities responded to the scene and confirmed that two people, Webber and Robin, died at the scene.

Webber’s dog sustained severe injuries in the crash.

About 120 gallons of jet fuel spilled during the crash into the water of a remote pond used by wildlife, according to the officials.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
