Jesse Moya Fatal Boating Crash on Kings River in Tulare
Tulare, California (July 3, 2018) – The identity of the man who was killed late Sunday afternoon in a two-boat collision in Tulare has been disclosed, according to a local news source.
The victim was identified as 53-year-old Jesse Moya.
The deadly collision happened at around 4:50 p.m. July 1, on the Kings River, just east of Highway 99.
Authorities said two boats collided in the river for unknown reasons.
One of the boats sunk due to the impact.
Moya, who was a passenger in the boat which was struck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator was flown to Clovis Community Medical Center.
It’s unclear if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
