Jose Niebla Killed in Compton Pedestrian Crash on Rosecrans Avenue
Compton, California (May 17, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Compton on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Rosecrans Avenue near South Castlegate Avenue at about 3 a.m. May 16, according to the California Highway Patrol.
70-year-old Jose Jesus Alvarez Niebla was walking in the area when he was hit by a 2008 Nissan Altima that was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue.
The impact of the collision threw the pedestrian into the rear of a 2007 Toyota Camry that was parked on the south curb of Rosecrans Avenue.
Niebla was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No arrests were made.
