Angeles Crest Highway- One person dead and two airlifted for treatment at a local hospital after a fatal head on motorcycle collision occurred Friday October 30, 2015 around 1:50 pm not far from the Upper Big Tijunga Canyon Road junction.
The tragic accident occurred when one of the motorcycles passed a vehicle, striking a motorcycle in the oncoming traffic lane.
Monica Lawson, a passenger in the vehicle that was being passed witnessed the whole event. Her husband immediately ran to help the victims, and other witnesses assisted by blocking the road and immediately calling 911.
Authorities arrived shortly after the call to the winding, scenic road which is popular to many motorcyclists. There they declared one of the victims dead at the scene and had the others airlifted for immediate medical attention.
