A motorcycle accident on Angeles Crest Highway Friday afternoon left one person dead and two others needing to be airlifted to a hospital. The collision occurred at around 1:50 p.m. and a Caltrans worker was the first person on the scene. One witness, Monica Lawson, claims that the accident occurred when the motorcyclist moved into oncoming traffic, attempting to pass a vehicle, when the motorcyclist struck another motorcycle head on. According to Lawson, the accident happened around 1:35p.m. but due to a lack of cell service, medical personnel were not notified until later. The motorcyclist who was killed was driving a brand new Ducati that still had it’s dealer plates while the other vehicle involved in the accident was a BMW bike.
