Los Angeles, CA: 2 Vehicles, Motorcycle Crash Channing Street Near 7TH Street
Los Angeles, California (September 29, 2016) – The Los Angeles Police Department are investigating a major injury crash involving two vehicles and a motorcycle that occurred late Wednesday night in Los Angeles, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident took place at about 11:05 p.m. last night between a motorcycle, a Greyhound bus and a pickup truck at the intersection of Channing and 7TH Streets.
The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene. The responding units confirmed that the motorcycle rider sustained injuries in the crash.
Reportedly, the rider was first struck by the pickup truck and was ejected from the motorcycle where the rider fell in front of the Greyhound bus and was hit again.
According to the report, the motorcyclist was rushed to a trauma center after sustaining major injuries in the crash.
It is not clear where or not alcohol was a factor in the accident. The identity of the motorcyclist, who remains in a critical condition, was not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway by the LAPD.
