After a collision of a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Maxima, two of the three people involved are dead.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was driving the wrong way on Highway 1 when he slammed into the Nissan Maxima, an Uber employee, with passenger in-tow. The driver of the Toyota Corolla and the passenger of the Uber driver are dead.
While the Toyota Corolla driver died at the scene, burnt to unidentifiable measures, the passenger of the Uber driver died soon after from injuries sustained from the crash.
The Uber Driver was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his non-fatal but serious injuries.
Spokesperson for Uber, Nairi Hourdajian spoke with ABC News by email stating, “We are deeply saddened by this terrible tragedy. This Christmas Day, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed and with the injured driver and his loved ones.”
The Highway was closed for 4 hours after the accident.
