Raymond Allen Petty Jr. Fatal Plane Crash on Canyon Drive in Oceanside
Oceanside, California (January 31, 2019) – The pilot who was killed on Monday in a plane crash in Oceanside has been identified as 58-year-old Raymond Allen Petty Jr. of Yorba Linda, according to a local news release.
The deadly crash took place on Monday, January 28, on Canyon Drive near Highway 76.
As per the release, a small plane left Oceanside Municipal Airport on Monday and crashed for unknown reasons. The plane was found a while before 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29.
Responding emergency crews declared Petty dead at the scene.
A passenger was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
