On February 15th, 2016, a woman dies in a car crash in North Sacramento, California. Police said that the driver showed signs of intoxication and that might have been the cause of the accident. Other two passengers also in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital. The police arrested the driver on felony charges.
On April 9th, 2016 it was reported that the California state parks rescue team saved a motorist whose vehicle has veered off the road and plunged down a foot embankment before catching fire. The male driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was suspected to have been drunk and speeding on a wet road when he lost control of the vehicle. The car was in flames and the rescue team found him lying helplessly beside the car. He suffered severely burnt injuries.
A Chinese student aged 20 years attending pacific union college was killed in an accident that she was involved in when the Ford SUV carrying her and her friends overturned as it traveled up a hill. She died at the scene of the crime before being taken to the hospital.
An infant was killed, and her parents hospitalized after a fatal accident where their vehicle rolled down 200 feet down the side of a mountain near pinyon pines. Police say that high speed could have been the cause of the crash that claimed the life of the infant.
A serious road accident was reported on Three Notch Road where a vehicle overturned on its roof and a person was trapped inside. A helicopter had to be requested to help rescue the trapped person.
Three women and two toddlers were involved in a fatal accident where they all died. The Honda Civic that they were traveling in collided with a Chevy Silverado as they were traveling along the two-way traffic highway in California. A three-year-old boy also in the vehicle was pronounced dead just when he arrived in hospital.
