SARATOGA, CA: One Killed, Another Injured Following Big Basin Way Deadly Solo Accident

SARATOGA, California (Aug. 3, 2016) – One person was killed and another injured early Wednesday morning following a fatal solo crash on Big Basin Way, authorities said.

The accident took place about 1:15 a.m. when a 29-year-old male driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed. The man was carrying two passengers. The passengers were only identified as two teenage girls aged 19 and 15.

Responding paramedics did not find the driver of the car at the scene of the accident. The paramedics extricated the 19-year-old who was trapped in the vehicle and transported her to a trauma center.

Unfortunately, the 19-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.

On the other hand, the 15-year-old girl was hospitalized at Valley Medical Center after sustaining severe injuries in the crash.

The report did not indicate whether or not the driver of the involved vehicle has since been located.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
