Woman Killed in Motorcycle Collision on Highway 101 near Tiburon Boulevard in Marin County
Marin County, California (March 28, 2018) – A San Francisco woman was killed Monday night in a motorcycle crash in Marin County, according to California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened at about 10:00 p.m. Monday, March 26 on Highway 101, just north of Tiburon Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Marie Sigenthaler, 29, was riding southbound on the highway when she was hit from behind by a Silver Toyota Prius in the No. 2 lane and was thrown onto the No. 1 lane.
Sigenthaler then was hit by a Volkswagen, and the driver stopped at the scene.
The Prius driver reportedly fled the scene.
No further information regarding the deadly crash was immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
