Pedestrian Dies in Valley Center Crash on Lilac Road near Hideaway Lake Road
Valley Center, California (May 19, 2023) – A male pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles Tuesday night in Center Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 8:37 p.m. on May 16 on Lilac Road, west of Hideaway Lake Road.
A Nissan Kicks, driven by a 19-year-old woman, was traveling ahead of a 63-year-old man driving a Dodge Caravan in the westbound lane of Lilac Road.
A 32-year-old man walked across the street and was hit by both vehicles.
The pedestrian died at the scene following the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
It is unknown whether alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
