8 People Injured, 2 Critical, in Two-Vehicle Crash at Flatbush Avenue and Farragut Road in Brooklyn, New York

Brooklyn, New York (April 14, 2018) – 8 people were injured after a vehicle slammed into another vehicle Friday night in Brooklyn, as per the New York Police Department.

The collision took place at around 9 p.m. April 13, at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Farragut Road.

A surveillance video showed a car traveling at a high speed and slammed into another vehicle at the intersection. It then barreled on to a curb and struck several pedestrians.

According to the witnesses, the driver tried to beat a red light when it lost control. At the same time, another driver was trying to making a turn at the intersection then collided with the speeding car.

As per the NYPD, 8 people were hurt, four pedestrians and four occupants of the cars. Two sustained critical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
