Anaheim, California (September 19, 2016) – A 15-year-old boy was critically injured Sunday night after being hit by a vehicle at Brookhurst Street and Ball Road.
According to Orange County Register, the accident took place at about 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night. The boy was riding his bicycle heading south in the bicycle lane when a gray vehicle, described as similar to a Dodge Caravan Struck him from behind.
The driver of the vehicle, described by a witness a Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s, did not stop after the accident.
The teenager was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The report indicates that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The minivan is believed to have sustained significant front-end damage in the accident and anyone who may spot it is asked to contact the Anaheim Police Department at 714-765-1900.
