BAKERSFIELD, California (Aug. 5, 2016) – Two vehicles collided early Friday morning on the westbound State Route Highway 58 near Mount Vernon Avenue.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at about 6:32 a.m. when a gray sedan and a white sedan collided. One person was injured in the accident. As per the report, high speed was a factor in the crash. The report also indicated that another vehicle may have been involved in the wreck.
Paramedics responded to the scene of the crash to attend to the injured person who was reportedly having a seizure following the accident.
The crash led to the closure of numbers 2 and 3 lanes. The vehicles involved in the crash by tow trucks.
