1 Dies in Fresno County Car Crash at Shields and Academy Avenues
Fresno County, California (June 8, 2023) – One person died Wednesday morning after a fiery crash at an intersection in Sanger.
The auto-vehicle collision occurred at Shields and Academy Avenues at around 10:30 a.m. June 7.
A westbound Ford Ranger on Shields Avenue failed to stop at a red sign and collided with a northbound semi-truck on Academy Avenue.
The impact caused the Ranger to catch fire while the truck continued about 200 feet before overturning and catching fire.
The Ranger operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck sustained severe injuries.
