1 Killed, 2 Hurt in Gardena Car Crash at 135th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard
Gardena, California (June 10, 2023) – One person was killed, and two others sustained injuries after a crash at an intersection in Gardena Friday evening.
The auto collision was reported at around 8:00 p.m. June 9 at 135th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard near Hawthorne.
According to the Gardena Police Department, a northbound white Kia on Crenshaw travelling at a high rate of speed struck a black Mercedes-Benz that was stopped at a stop sign.
Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Kia driver was declared deceased at the facility.
The name of the victim has been released.
More details about the incident were not provided.
