1 Killed, 1 Injured in Fountain Accident at Bushard Street and Swift Avenue
Fountain Valley, California (May 23, 2023) – One person was killed in a car crash at an intersection in Fountain Valley on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 11:50 p.m. on May 22 at Bushard Street and Swift Avenue.
Authorities say a silver 2005 Infiniti FX35 was traveling north on Bushard St. when it crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a black 2015 Nissan Sentra.
A passenger in the Sentra was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Sentra was hospitalized in critical condition.
The 34-year-old driver of the Infiniti was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
