LOMA LINDA, CA: Big Rig, Car Collide 10 Freeway, One Injured

LOMA LINDA, California (Aug. 5, 2016) – At least one person was injured Thursday afternoon following an injury crash between a car and a big rig on the westbound 10 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The accident was reported on Thursday afternoon at about 2:20 PM. As per the report, the police received a call reporting that a car had crashed into the rear of a black big rig on the 10 Freeway, just east of Tippecanoe Avenue.

The vehicle involved in the crash was described as a silver Honda Accord. The Honda was pinned beneath the semi-truck after the crash.

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash. Paramedics rushed to the crash scene and helped the injured person. The person was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. The report also indicated that the victim was complaining of pain.

Police believe that another vehicle may have been involved in the crash but the report did not indicate that.

The crash is under investigation by the police to determine that cause and liability.
