Driver, Michele Stewart, 39, Arrested After Hitting and Injuring Two in Nevada City
Nevada City, CA: Michele Stewart Arrested After Hit-and-Run Crash On Zion Street
Nevada City, California (October 12, 2016) – A man and his son were injured on Monday after their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in Nevada City, according to a California Highway Patrol Report.
Michele Stewart, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, have since been arrested. Initially, Stewart had fled the scene after the accident. Reportedly, Stewart struck the father, and when the son tried to stop her, she ran over him.
The California Highway Patrol official managed to catch and arrest the woman. Initial investigation showed that Stewart was driver under the influence of alcohol as she failed the breathalyzer test.
After the arrest, the 39-year-old woman was taken to jail on a $75,000 bail.
