PLEASANT HILL, California (Aug. 4, 2016) – An accident was reported early Thursday night after a driver ran into a stalled car on the northbound Interstate 680 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
As per the report, the accident took place at about 3:42 a.m. in the number 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway at Monument Boulevard. The report indicates that firefighters helped rescue a party who was trapped in the vehicle. The firefighters closed the freeway for some time and issued a SigAlert.
The report indicates that paramedics responded to the scene of the crash but did not tell whether or not anyone was taken to hospital.
