SAN JACINTO, California (July 29, 2016) – A man was killed Friday morning after being struck by a car on Ramona Expressway near State Street, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The accident occurred about 5:37 AM when a pedestrian was struck by a car as he tried to cross the street. The vehicle involved in the crash was traveling east on the Ramona Expressway. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Responding paramedics took the injured man to a local hospital for treatment. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The deadly accident is being investigated by the San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
