Santa Rosa, CA: Two Hospitalized After Eight Vehicles Collide on Highway 101

Santa Rosa, California (December 8, 2016) – According to a police report, minor injuries were reported Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.

The accident occurred at about 8:29 a.m. between eight vehicles on the Southbound Highway 101, Just north of Highway 12 interchange.

While the cause of the accident was not immediately determined, two people suffered minor injuries in the crash and were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

According to a CHP report, the wreckage blocked all the three lanes of the highway and led to major delays. A serious traffic backup was experienced through the northern and central Santa Rosa for about an hour.

All lanes reopened at about 9:35 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the police to determine the cause and liability.
