STRATHMORE, California (July 28, 2016) – A deadly accident was reported Wednesday afternoon on Highway 65, just north of Avenue 196 in Tulare County, authorities said.
The deadly crash occurred about 2:35 PM Wednesday afternoon between a 2008 Hyundai and an antique tractor. The Hyundai driver, 47, was headed south on Highway 65 when he veered off the roadway and collided with the tractor near Avenue 196.
The 47-year-old man was critically injured in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the man. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police believe that alcohol did not contribute to the accident. No further information was provided concerning the crash.
