2 injured Following Highway 86 Rollover Crash Near Avenue 72 in Thermal
Thermal, California (October 27, 2016) – Two people were injured Monday afternoon after a sport utility vehicle overturned in Thermal, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 4:13 p.m. on State Route Highway 86 near Avenue 72 just northeast of Salton Sea.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, one of the two occupants of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle and was seriously injured in the crash. The ejected person was airlifted to the hospital while the second person sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital via an ambulance.
No further information concerning the crash was provided. The cause of the major injury accident is under investigation.
