Victorville, CA:  Boy, 7, Badly Injured in Hit-and-run Crash on Center and Lacy Streets

Victorville, California (October 21, 2016) – Police are investigating a pedestrian accident in which a 7-year-old boy was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night in Victorville, according to a police report.

The 7:20 p.m. accident occurred when a boy who was riding a bicycle was struck by a tan minivan at Center and Lacy streets.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did not stop at the scene to render help to the young boy but instead, continued to drive away on the southbound Center Street before turning to Hesperia road.

According to the report, the young boy was first taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and was later airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The boy sustained a head injury and his condition remains serious.

The injury crash is under investigation by the police to determine the cause and liability.
