Escondido, California (September 14, 2016) – A pedestrian was injured Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Escondido, according NBC San Diego.
According to the article, the injured pedestrian was struck by a passing car while walking on East Valley Parkway and Quarry Glen.
The pedestrian, who remains unidentified at this time, was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Further, the article stated that the windshield of the vehicle involved in the accident was shattered. A backpack, clothing and a shoe were located at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident and was not arrested after being questioned by the police.
Initial investigation indicates that neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the pedestrian crash.
