1 Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Car on State Road 54 in Zephyrhills
Zephyrhills, Florida (April 2, 2018) – A woman was killed in a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Sunday night in Pasco County, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at around 8:28 p.m. Sunday, April 1 on State Road 54 at Morris Bridge Road.
FHP said E. Loveitt, 57, of Zephyrhills was driving a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle when he crashed into the rear of a 1999 Honda Civic that was stopped in traffic.
Loveitt and his passenger, Karen E. King, 45, of Zephyrhills, were both ejected from the motorcycle by the impact.
King was pronounced deceased at the scene. Loveitt was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Honda, Samantha Marie Sweet, 17, of Wesley Chapel, was not hurt.
The crash is under investigation.
