Deland Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle on State Road 44 in Volusia County
Volusia County, Florida (April 3, 2018) – A 53-year-old Deland woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in Volusia County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, April 1 on State Road 44.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Catherine Flora was attempting to cross State Road 44 when she was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Flora was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
