Jonathan Powell killed in 2-Vehicle Collision at Daniels Parkway and Plantation Road in Fort Myers

Fort Myers, Florida (March 24, 2018) – The man who was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Fort Myers has been identified as Jonathan Powell, 31, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The incident happened just before 7:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at the intersection of Daniels Parkway and Plantation Road.

According to the FBH report, Powell was driving a 2016 Jetta eastbound on Daniels and approaching the red traffic light at Plantation Road when he failed to stop in time and rear-ended a truck that was stopped at the red signal light.

Powell was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No further information is available at this time.

The deadly crash remains under investigation.
