Woman Killed, 4 Teens Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on 66th Street North at 118th Avenue North in Largo
Largo, Florida (March 29, 2018) – A 26-year-old St. Petersburg Woman was killed, and four teenagers were injured Sunday night in a wrong-way crash in Largo, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at about 11:23 p.m. Sunday, March 25 on 66th Street North at the intersection of 118th Avenue North.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ambreuna Brown was driving a 2014 Hyundai Sonata on the northbound lane of 66th Street North. Then at the intersection of 118th Avenue North, she drifted into the southbound lanes of 66th Street North and struck a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Ryan Matthews, 18.
Brown died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Ryan, Vivian Antenucci, 16, of Seminole, Shelly Melendez Matos, 17, of Largo and Jacob Hutfilz, 17, of Palm Harbor, were all transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
No further information regarding the crash was immediately provided.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
