59-Year-Old Woman Killed in Vermilion Parish Crash on LA 14 near Marcus Road
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on LA 14 near Marcus Road in Vermilion Parish
Vermilion Parish, Louisiana (April 20, 2018) – An Erath woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Vermilion Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
The crash took place at around 12:30 p.m. April 19, on LA 14 near Marcus Road.
As per the investigation report, Gloria Yanna, 59, of Erath, had parked her vehicle on the westbound shoulder of LA 14 and started crossing the roadway.
According to troopers, Yanna was in the right lane when she was struck by another vehicle. Yanna sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other information was provided.
The crash remained under investigation.
