Man Struck and Killed by Car on Martin Boulevard in Middle River

Middle River, Maryland (April 22, 2018) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Middle River, according to police.

The incident was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, April 21, on Martin Boulevard near Compass Road.

Police said Jeremy Warfield McCoy, 51, was standing at the side of the road when a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 32-year-old Dundalk woman, drifted off the shoulder of the roadway and struck him.

McCoy died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was at the scene when police arrived.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.
