Camdenton, Missouri (March 23, 2018) – Two women were killed and three children were hospitalized with serious injuries after an accident in Missouri Thursday morning, according to authorities.
The fatal incident took place on Highway 5 on Thursday, March 22.
According to the authorities, a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Amber Metcalf from Versailles drifted over the center line and slammed into a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Jessica Brazil from Camdenton.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three children in Brazil’s vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to a Springfield hospital.
The highway was shut down for about three hours during the investigation.
No further information regarding the incident was immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
