Teen Boy Killed and Five People Hospitalized after Saint Louis Crash at Halls Ferry Road and McLaran Avenue

Teen Dead, 5 Hurt in Two-Car Crash at Halls Ferry Road and McLaran Avenue in Saint Louis
Saint Louis, Missouri (April 22, 2018) – A teen boy was killed and five other people were killed in a crash Thursday night in Saint Louis, police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 111:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the intersection of Halls Ferry Road and McLaran Avenue.
According to the police, a 21-year-old woman was driving 2014 Hyundai Elantra southbound Halls Ferry Road when she attempted to make a sharp left turn onto eastbound McLaran and collided with an oncoming 2002 Lincoln Navigator that was turning right onto northbound Halls Ferry.
Armani Hester, 17, of Northwoods in Saint Louis County, who was in the front passenger seat, was declared dead at the scene. The two rear seat passengers, a 17-year-old girl, and a 20-year-old woman, the woman driving them and the second driver, a 43-year-old man, were transported to a hospital.
The driver of the Elantra was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. Her passengers and the second driver were also taken to a hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
