NEWBURY PARK, CA: One injured in 101 Freeway Major Injury Crash

NEWBURY PARK, California (Aug.9, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, one person was injured Tuesday morning following a collision between two motorcycles on the southbound US 101 Freeway.

The major injury collision took place this morning at about 7:56 a.m. when two motorcyclists collided on the freeway just north of Ventura Park Road in Newbury Park. One of the vehicles in the crash was described as a black Harley Davidson bike. The crash led to the blockage of numbers 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the freeway.

Ventura County Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene of the crash to attend to those injured. As per the report, one person suffered major injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the crash to determine the cause and liability.
