1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street in Whitesboro

Whitesboro, New York (April 13, 2018) – A police officer was killed in a two-car accident in Whitesboro Wednesday evening,  according to New York State Police.

The collision happened just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 at the intersection of Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street.

According to the New York State Police, Kevin Crossley was driving his Whitesboro Police patrol car when his vehicle was hit by a Chevrolet Avalanche at the intersection.

Crossley was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Avalanche was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
